Two scored five stars for both child and adult safety, while the rest received a forgetful performance
Global NCAP performs crash testing of cars in order to prove their safety in an accident. The assessment criteria have been updated to include more tests, such as side impact, and electronic stability control (ESC). The test protocols require that a car be crash-tested against a frontal offset barrier at 64kmph, 50kmph for side impacts, and 29kmph for side pole impacts. The car's performance is then evaluated for rating.
We recently received the Skoda Kushaq Volkswagen Taigun ratings. We decided to compare them with the Hyundai Creta, and the Kia Seltos. Their base variants were taken into account, just like the rest of the cars. These are our observations.
Overall Scores
Note - Before we proceed, it is important to remember that both the Cretas and Seltos were tested before the new protocols of Global NCAP became effective. Therefore, there may be some discrepancies in the test results.
