CarExpert's Take on the Mercedes-Benz C300
In many ways, the latest C-Class is the ideal brand new Mercedes-Benz.
It's beautiful inside and out and is packed with the kind of technology previously restricted to S-Class. Many people will be in their car, fiddling with the screens, and instantly sign the dotted line.
I was hoping for more but. For the price and the features, it's a bit pricey. The 2.0-liter engine and 48V system did not immediately blow me away. Maybe the C200 is a better purchase, and the glitzy interior can be a bit sloppy in ways you wouldn't expect from a manufacturer that boasts "The Best Or Nothing."
The fact that the footrest doesn't accommodate my right foot, the kind that you'd expect to find in the $20,000, not the interior of a German executive car, and specific interior materials were a little desired.
They're the kinds of things that the more traditional and less flashy BMW 3 Series and Audi A4 achieve. These are the kind of things that Mercedes-Benz utilized to perfect.
With all its merits, perhaps the C-Class needs a touch of the older Mercedes-Benzmagic.
